Catching Up

  • Mood: Happy
  • Music: "Kate" by Ben Folds Five
  • Clothing: Pajamas
  • Weather: IT SNOWED THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!

All right.  So I haven't posted these past few days.  I haven't had the time!  So here it goes...

Dec. 19, 2004 - I went to Little Rock with my brother Luke, his girlfriend Misty, my boyfriend Joe, and a few friends, to see an amazing concert.  It was that band I told you about, remember?  Candiria?  Anyway, even though I am DEFINITELY not deep into metal music, they were amazingly talented and entertaining.

My boyfriend, whose favorite bands list some of the same one I love, even enjoyed them.  Better yet, I got to meet the entire band and recieve their autographs.  We had so much fun!  Except for when my brother got a speeding ticket for driving 96 in a 70 zone.  I had no clue he was going that fast, because I was trying to fall asleep.  Oh well.  He didn't get in too much trouble, although he almost did.

It was on a Sunday night, and the next day we had school.  We got back in and in bed around 1:00 A.M.

Dec. 20, 2004 - All right, so now it's Monday.  The day after the concert.  Wow.. I'm not really that tired!  I'm not a picky sleeper, UNLESS I get no sleep at all or I am woken up by something besides an alarm clock.  If so, watch out.

Well, I get to school and the first hour of the day is band, so no semester test.  Next, chemistry.  I made a 74 on the test, but I have a 94 average in that class, so it's cool.  Next, the entire school goes to the auditorium to watch a movie for Character Education lessons.  It SUCKED.   Then Algebra II test.  It went very well.  Lunch, then home!  Actually, I didn't go home I went shopping with my mom and bought the last of Christmas that we needed.  I got some really cute, expensive stuff.  I can't wait!  Anyone who shops at Steam Roller Blues in Jonesboro understands.

After we got done shopping, we drove back toward home and I went to Joe's house.  THEN, I came home.  My life is so very eventful.

Dec. 21, 2004 - It's the last day of school before we get out for Christmas vacation.  Three semester tests - Speech, English, and Psychology.  I have As in all three, so I wasn't worried about the tests.  I still got As on the tests, too.  So it's wonderful!  I left school at 12:23, just like I did Monday.  This time, I don't go shopping.  I go to the orthodontist.  Although, after my appointment, we did shop.  AGAIN.  This Christmas is going to be the best I've had.

My First Post

  • Mood: Inspired
  • Music: "Warehouse" by Dave Matthews Band
  • Clothing: Neon pink cashmere sweater, cargo pants, and Diesel sneakers
  • Weather: Beautiful, crisp fall afternoon

Hey everyone!

This is my first entry in my Brave Journal.  I guess I'm late on the internet journal fad, huh?

Ah well, here I am.  First of all, thank you Samantha, for telling me about this thing.

Anyway, I'm tired today.  I've done nothing but sit around and eat, which isn't so BAD, just... bad for my body and metabolism.

Tomorrow, I'm going to see this underground-experiemental metal band, even though I'm not into much really, really heavy music.  The band is Chimaira.  They incorporate heavy metal, jazz, and inspirational poetry/rap.  Not like, Nelly or Snoop Dogg rap, but.. I don't know how to explain it.
